How to use Black and white levels

Compare numbered near-black and near-white patches to see which shades you can distinguish.

  1. Select Start fullscreen. The preview does not keep the screen awake.
  2. Compare the numbered patches near black at the top and near white at the bottom. The numbers are RGB values from 0 to 255.
  3. Check which neighboring patches you can distinguish. Change device brightness yourself if you want to compare settings.
  4. Hide the controls to see the whole pattern. Tap the screen to restore them, then select Finish to exit.

Compare neighboring patches at your usual viewing distance. Numbers show the RGB channel value from 0 to 255. This is a visual comparison, not a measured contrast ratio or calibration.
