How to use Touch test

Draw across the screen to inspect touch continuity and try multiple fingers together.

  1. Select Start fullscreen. The preview does not keep the screen awake.
  2. Draw slowly through the center, edges and corners. Try several fingers together to see separate colored trails.
  3. Look for unexpected gaps and check the current and maximum observed touch counts. Mouse and pen input do not count as touches.
  4. Clear and reset to try again. If you hide the controls, use Show controls to restore them and Finish to exit. Drag the Show controls button to move it out of the way.

Start, then draw slowly across the screen with your fingers. Each contact leaves a colored trail. Try several fingers at once and look for unexpected gaps.

Counts show touches observed by this browser, not the device’s maximum capability. A mouse or pen can draw too. This tool does not automatically diagnose faults.

Drawing is scaled when the screen rotates or resizes. Clear it to check the new layout from scratch.
